It's a professional control platform. Instead of every device having its own remote and every brand having its own app, URC sits on top of them and gives you one interface — a handheld remote, an in-wall touchscreen or your phone — that operates the whole room or the whole house.
Take Watch TV. One press powers on the television, switches the receiver to the right input, sets the volume to a sensible level, hands the remote's buttons to the streaming device and brings the lights to where you like them. Movie, Listen to Music, Entertain, Goodnight and Away work the same way — several actions, one press. Deciding what each one should do is the part we work through with you.
Usually not all of it. URC controls a wide range of televisions, receivers, streaming devices, audio systems, lighting and compatible smart-home products. We'll review what you have and tell you plainly what carries over, what's worth upgrading and what genuinely has to be replaced.
URC is a mature, flexible professional platform, and it's the one we program most deeply — which matters more than the badge on the box. For a project where a different professional solution fits better, we'll say so. The goal is the right system for the home, not brand loyalty.
Often, yes. We can reprogram, repair and expand existing URC systems, including ones we didn't install. We'll look at what's there first and tell you whether a takeover or a fresh start makes more sense.
A single well-integrated room can be done in a matter of days. A whole-home system on a new build runs alongside construction, from pre-wire through final programming. We'll give you a realistic timeline once we know the scope.
