Streaming, automation, distributed audio, cameras and nearly every connected device in the house depend on it. When a smart home feels unreliable — lights that respond slowly, music that drops out, cameras that won't load remotely — the network is the first place we look, and often the actual cause.
Sometimes, and sometimes they make it worse. Poor coverage, an overloaded router, a bad wired path, interference and misconfigured equipment all look identical from the couch. We find out which one it is before recommending hardware — adding access points to the wrong problem just moves it around.
Yes, and it's the part most homes skimp on. Every device you can wire — televisions, streaming boxes, game consoles, access points, cameras, control processors — is one less device competing for the airwaves, and it's dramatically more reliable.
That's a lot of what we do. We assess what's there, keep what's worth keeping, correct the wiring and placement, tidy and label the equipment, and document it so the next person to touch it isn't starting from nothing.
This is the right time to do it. Access point locations, camera runs, television and speaker wiring, conduit and where the rack will live are all much cheaper to plan before drywall than after. We'll work from your plans alongside your builder.
